Description
Finished in vivid Giallo Modena over a purposeful black cockpit, this 2004 Ferrari Challenge Stradale is the road legal expression of Ferrari’s 360 one make race car. Developed with extensive input from the Ferrari Challenge series, it takes the already sharp 360 Modena and distills it into a focused driver’s tool, with lighter weight, more aggressive aerodynamics, and a suspension tuned for precision at speed.
Behind the glass engine cover sits a 3.6 liter naturally aspirated V8, derived from the F131 family, revving to 8,500 rpm and producing around 420 to 425 horsepower with 373 Nm of torque. Power flows through Ferrari’s 6 speed single clutch F1 automated manual gearbox to the rear wheels, delivering a claimed 0 to 100 km/h in about 4.1 seconds and a top speed near 300 km/h. At roughly 1,280 to 1,290 kg curb weight, the Challenge Stradale offers an impressive power to weight ratio and track bred braking and chassis response.
Designed by Pininfarina, the bodywork is subtly reworked for increased downforce and reduced drag, paired with 19 inch alloy wheels and ultra high performance tires. Inside, the mood is all business, with black materials, exposed carbon fiber, and minimal sound insulation that let the mechanical soundtrack take center stage.
With only about 1,288 examples produced worldwide, the Challenge Stradale is an exclusive chapter in Ferrari’s modern history, viewed by enthusiasts as the spiritual ancestor to later track focused specials such as the 430 Scuderia and 458 Speciale. Giallo Modena over black adds a rare and striking specification to a car already celebrated for its purity, making this Stradale a compelling choice for the driver who values engagement, heritage, and unfiltered performance.
